BJÖRN THORODDSEN (GUITAR)
For several years, Björn Thoroddsen has been one of Iceland's leading jazz guitarists. He is the recepient of several Icelandic music awards, including "Jazz Performer of the Year" in 2003, and has released a number of critically acclaimed albums. Bjorn collaborated with musicians such as Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Kazumi Watanabe, Tommy Emmanuel, Al Di Meola, Robben Ford and Larry Coryell, to name a few.
An acclaimed soloist, Björn dazzles his audiences worldwide with outstanding playing and showmanship.
stefán S. Stefánsson (saxophone)
Graduate from Berklee College of Music Boston Mass. Active professional musician as a saxophonist, composer and arranger in Iceland. Bands include the Reykjavik Big Band, Ljósin í bænum and many many more. Numerous albums in his name include Big band music, jazz , pop and Icelandic folk music. A devote Celtics fan and a lover of all good music.
ÞÓRIR BALDURSSON (KEYBOARDS)
Born in Keflavík, Icelandic keyboard player, arranger, songwriter and producer. Worked in Scandinavia and central Europe from the late 60's into the mid 80's with artists such as Giorgio Moroder and Donna Summer. Sometimes called the Master of the Hammond universe for his extensive knowledge and skill on the Hammond organ.
Bjarni Sveinbjörnsson (Bass)
BIT Graduate from Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Class of Mars 1985.
Bjarni has been playing the bass professionally for over four decades. Jazz Clubs, Theater, Radio, Television and Recording Studios. Studio recordings and performances with numerous artists including Björk, Edda Borg , Geir Ólafsson, Don Randi, Brandon Fields, Bernie Dresel and Dave Weckl. Bjarni recorded and published his own music in 2009 (About Time) and has performed his music on many occasions in the growing and flourishing Icelandic Jazz Scene. Bjarni joined Gammar in the late 80s.
SIGFÚS ÓTTARSSON (DRUMS)
Studied drums at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. Extensive professional experience as a one of the most sought after drummer in Iceland for years and years.
